I know I cannot be the only one who gets sick and tired of people assuming the dumbest things just because you're a millennial. So I decided to make a brief list of the things that make me very unlike the millennial stereotypes.
1. I despise having to look at a computer, TV, or phone screen for long periods of time ranging from half an hour to two or three hours, any longer than that zaps my energy away.
2. I DO NOT follow every trend.
3. I DO NOT waste money buying new gadgets every year.
4. I still use an obsolete cell phone and I'll use it until it stops working completely!
5. I've made my laptop (which I worked hard saving up for) last for about eight years and it's still going strong (except for the glitchy screen).
6. Most of the time I'll take nature over technology.
7. I love natural daylight so much that I sometimes wonder if I photosynthesize. (ba dunss!)
8. I think the dumbest things I ever do are the dumb jokes that I make.
9. I DO NOT eat Tide pods.
10. I happily went completely without ALL my social media accounts for about four years. The only thing that really got me back on social media was to share my art.
11. When things break, instead of instantly trying to get a replacement or upgraded version of it, I do whatever I can to repair it even when it seems unmendable. I do this even with the littlest of things. If I can't fix it after several attempts I usually re-purpose it.
12. Handmade is better than factory-made. (If only everyone would realize this.)
13. I do not know what every text acronym means.
14. I stopped listening to hit music years ago. I DO NOT miss it.
15. I learned the Gangnam Style dance from my Grandma.
